🌿 Alianza Divina Collective — The Story
"Aliança Divina" began as a quiet wish shared by singers Jessica Tavares and Catia dos Santos — a desire to form a ceremonial band devoted to the spirit of medicine music.
That wish only became real when producer-engineer Bufeo (Luis Bonilla) and Marek Schneider, longtime creative partners and former bandmates in the South Florida group The VON, stepped in to bring it to life.
Working from Sapphire Studio, Bonilla produced, recorded, and shaped the sonic identity of Aliança Divina, transforming an abstract dream into a tangible sound.
The collaboration culminated in the 20-song live album Gaia NYE Live — a vivid ceremonial performance blending originals like Aho and Aliança Divina with traditional and beloved songs such as Estrellita Divina.
It became the defining document of that era — a musical offering born from community, ceremony, and devotion.
As the project’s presence grew, so did internal conflicts.
Disputes over authorship and ownership erupted, and the band’s name itself became the subject of legal opposition and public misrepresentation.
What began as a prayerful collaboration fractured into arguments over credit and control, pulling the focus away from the music’s sacred intent.
Refusing to let the songs be buried by noise, Luis Bonilla — the project’s original producer and sound architect — made the decision to separate completely from the contested name.
To preserve the recordings, the truth, and the creative lineage, he reestablished the catalog under a new identity:
Alianza Divina Collective — the rightful continuation of the work, free from distortion and grounded in integrity.
It is not a new band, but the same music — protected, preserved, and allowed to live in peace.
