Our fans are shallow, so don't fear
They'll like something else next year
Even if for now it seems that they care"
We're gonna say goodbye
We're g-g-g-g-gonna say goodbye
We're gonna say goodbye
And lets go down without a fight
Its alright! Im ok!
We were famous for a day
It was cool, but lets just stop
It feels good to end on top
And when its starts up again
We'll just have a reunion

Abandon Ship Lyrics

Made a few CDs
Played with all our favorite bands
Hit it big in the local scene
But we're never gonna be on trl with Carson Daly
Made a lot of fans
Quit my job, dropped out of school, pressed some t-shirts
Bought a van for my stupid ska-punk band
But something tells me that I was so wrong
To think we'd make a change
And not go down in flames
Like everyone said we would anyway
But we sure had a blast
But leave that to the past
I need to support myself someday
We're gonna say goodbye
We're gonna say goodbye
We're gonna say goodbye
And lets go down without a fight
Tried for something more
Trade in this uncool punk-ska
Make it rock with horns!
The kids don't like it! its not limp bizkit
"I missed you too mom and dad!
Being at home aint that bad!
I applied at STARBUCKS yesterday
Our fans are shallow, so don't fear
They'll like something else next year
Even if for now it seems that they care"
We're gonna say goodbye
We're g-g-g-g-gonna say goodbye
We're gonna say goodbye
And lets go down without a fight
Its alright! Im ok!
We were famous for a day
It was cool, but lets just stop
It feels good to end on top
And when its starts up again
We'll just have a reunion
THERE'S NO SHAME IN ENDING ON TOP

The Arrogant Sons of Bitches (ASOB for short) were a 6 piece ska punk band from Long Island, NY. In 1995, Joe Werfleman and Jeff Rosenstock thought it would be a good idea to start a band to try and pick up girls and, as Rosenstock said, “we followed through on that, unlike many of us following through on education.” He went on to say that the goal of the band “is to make music real people can relate to and possibly learn from mistakes that we make…and to prove that ska music doesn’t suck, it just needs a kick in the ass.” During their energetic live shows, ASOB always made it a point to get the crowd involved, whether it consisted of nine or nine-hundred people. Their mixture of chaos, humor and catchy sing-alongs has made their live performances equally loved by fans and critics. Read more on Last.fm.
