The Tandy Morgan Band was a British trio formed in early 1986 by Richard Tandy (born 26 March 1948; died 1 May 2024) and Dave Morgan (aka David Scott-Morgan, born David Raymond Morgan on 19 August 1942) in order to include Martin Smith (who also played in the live performances of ELO). The trio recorded a charity single "Action!" under the production of ELO's Jeff Lynne. Composed and sung by Morgan, like the three other tracks on the EP, which were, except "Action (Instrumental)" produced by the band themselves.

When interviewed by the editorial board of the E.L.O. fanclub, Tandy and Morgan were asked if they had "any music that's never been released". They did, and in 1987, this resulted in the release of "The B.C. collection", a collection of songs recorded between 1985 and 1987 by Tandy, Morgan, and Smith. The album, by Tandy Morgan Smith, contains the original version of the song "Hiroshima", which was a hit in Germany in 1971 for the band Wishful Thinking.
