Tree Barking was originally started by skateboarder Adam Wersky in 2004 as a solo acoustic project called ‘The Wersky Scenario’. The songs quickly grew in number and by 2006 Wersky had written and recorded over 50 original songs. By mid-2007, Wersky acquired a bass guitar and drums and the once acoustic songs evolved into an electric guitar based, higher energy project.

Wersky teamed up with long-time friend and drummer Jason Yonan in 2008, and the music began to take shape. In late 2009, Wersky recruited guitarist Maxim Gladnikov through a spontaneous Craig’s List post. Wersky's friend Tony Giannotti had returned to the Central Valley and joined Tree Barking as their third guitarist. Most recently, Zach Wagner, friend of Tree Barking, has joined the band playing bass guitar.

In the summer of 2012, Tree Barking teamed up with Producer/Engineer Lucky Lew of Wave Parade Studios and began recording their first release, ‘Heels Over Head EP’. At long last, Tree Barking finalized a handful of songs that, for years, had only existed as home demos. The ‘Heels Over Head EP’ will be officially released in January 2013.
