Patrick Lee Johnson Jr., professionally known as P-Huncho, was born on December 31st, 1998, and raised in Kankakee, Illinois. Standing at 5'11", P-Huncho is the son of Odessa Edwards and Patrick L. Johnson Sr.

P-Huncho’s passion for music was evident from a young age. In 2011, at just 12 years old, he was enrolled by his mother in a local musical arts program, The AON Initiative (formerly known as AON CCAD). This program not only nurtured his early interest in music production but also provided a safe environment for him to develop his craft. By the age of 16, P-Huncho transitioned from producing instrumentals to focusing on rapping, where he discovered his true artistic voice.

At the age of 20, P-Huncho began releasing music, quickly establishing himself within the industry. He has since released three singles between 2019 and 2021, including a notable collaboration with OTF’s artist, Doodie Lo. In 2021, he further solidified his presence in the music scene with a six-track EP, featuring a standout collaboration with Chicago’s Prince Dre, another artist closely affiliated with OTF.

In 2022, P-Huncho experienced a significant personal loss with the passing of his grandfather, which led him to take a necessary hiatus from music to heal and reflect. Now, at 25 years old, he is returning with renewed energy and focus, currently working on his debut album. This project is a testament to his commitment to authenticity, featuring original tracks that are designed to resonate with a wide audience.

While he has roots in Drill Rap, P-Huncho’s music spans a range of genres, including Hip Hop/Rap, Trap, Midwest Hip Hop, and Conscious Hip Hop.
