Lions from Alaska is a new wave hardcore band based in Kulmbach (Germany). It was founded in 2013.
Starting off as a garage project the ambition to achieve higher targets increased by a change of line up in the end of 2015.
Having revised some older demo recordings, the DIY-video to their first single "Dead Thougths" came out soon thereafter in spring 2016.
It landed a remarkable top 10 ranking among several hundreds of bands from all over Europe at the Impericon Newcomer Band Contest.

In 2017, Lions from Alaska released their first EP "Rebirth of the Phoenix" and subsequently dropped a music video to the second single "Pathfinder".

By winning a few band contests they were given the chance to perform at festivals such as "True Spirit" (Dresden), "Die Festung Rockt" (Kronach)
and "Krach am Bach" (Prölsdorf). It was the first opportunity to share stages with bands like Betraying The Martyrs, Cancer Bats, Millencolin,
We Butter The Bread With Butter and Stick To Your Guns.
With a show at "Ab Geht Die Lutzi" (Bad Kissingen) Lions from Alaska successfully concluded their first festival summer in 2018.

In late 2019, the Lions started working on their new album, which is expected to come out in the course of 2020.

The unique sound of Lions from Alaska is a combination of catchy guitar melodies and punchy breakdowns supported by atmospheric synths.
