The Cain Pit is a "punkgrass" quintet from Norwich, Norfolk (UK). Originally formed as a studio project at what seemed like the end of the world, the band quickly adapted when the apocalypse failed to arrive. Cousins and founding members Daryl Blyth (vocals, double bass) and Scott Blyth (guitar) decided to turn their project into a full-fledged band.

After a year of trial and error, they assembled the perfect lineup of hillbilly punks: Isaac Crass (banjo), Joe Halliday (acoustic guitar, harmonica), and Jamie Tritton (drums). Their vision was simple—blend their love of punk rock, bluegrass, and other roots music into something fresh.

The Cain Pit likes to think of themselves as a bridge between The Old Crow Medicine Show and a millennial punk rock band—only to jump off that bridge, splash into a roots-rockabilly-punk primordial soup, and emerge singing sugar-coated melodies with a crunchy, bitter edge.
