Boodang is a rapper from Detroit, Michigan signed with Ghost Town Ent.

BOODANG is definitely a threat, a force 2 be recognized in this music business. Str8 from the D, BOODANG started rapping back in middle school. "Man I wasn't thinking about being no rapper, I wasn't even in 2 rap like that, until 1 day this cat who was into rapping, & battling other rappers was saying "NOBODY CAN BEAT ME RAPPING, I'LL EAT UP ANYBODY!" But I didn't give a f..@k because I knew I wasn't trying 2 be no rapper so he couldn't have been talking 2 me. OUT OF NOWHERE my homie Donald just break out and say "I know somebody that'll challenge U".....FLASHBACK.... it reminded me of the movie (THE LAST DRAGON) when Sho-Nuff came in the movie theatre talk'n'bout "WHO"S THE MASTER" & the lil boy say I know who can beat you Bruce Leeroy.... Well this was the same sh..t except the outcome was a lil different, because when Donald pointed at me my man just started eatin my ass up in front of the whole lunchroom. That day I became an emcee. I went 2 the crib and wrote 5 or 6 verses a night 4 that nigga until I got my repect." FAST-FORWARD 2 years. BOODANG started going 2 Osborn high school where he dived-in head 1st into the elite rap cipher circle. "I came 2 the born thinking I was the shit tryin to battle everybody. There was 3 niggas who was the best in the building, so me and my rap partners at the time (Cool) & (Cleo) stepped up to the cats like "ya'll rap." 1 verse lead to 2 verses which lead to a battle, then a fight. I'll never forget them 3 M.C.s on that crazy day (Dre, Wayne, & the most powerful & ingenius freestyler I have ever heard, Max a.K.a. Proof). The day after the fight Me & Proof became real good friends. He was the 1st one to introduce me 2 a studio. We would catch the bus on saturdays to MO MASTER studio for only 7$ an hr. Back then I went by the name Genuine J. Proof introduced me to the whole Osborn roster of rappers, it used to be PROOF, K-9, THREE, MICROPHONE MISTRESS, RUTHLESS D, MR PORTER, KUNIVA a.k.a. VOCAB, C-LO, PHILPOT, TALK, & O.M.B. EVEN FERNANDO. OSBORN was the sh..t at that time. We had Esham, Mastermind, TNT Poe Whosaine. I remember 1 day Proof brought Eminem up to the school, & somehow we snuck his ass in the building. Proof was like "Genuine this is the kid I was telling you about." I look at Em and judged the book by the 1st glance of its cover. Proof was like "kick something for Em Genuine", so I spit something for'um, then Eminem started rappin... Like I told folks before, This was way before a Dr. Dre record deal...this mothaf..@ka was dope as a key of coke. I didn't even think a white dude could come that ill, period. I still remember the name of his rhyme (The 1 ARM JUGGLER). I woundn't call it a battle that we had that day, but if it had been, I would've lost. FAST-FORWARD... When I left school I toured with a theatrical play called (SOMETIMES YOU WIN, SOMETIMES YOU LOSE) Written & Directed by the late LIZZY BERRY. She was the 1st to give me a chance to go on the road and make some real money. Lizzy gave me a since of direction and showed me that no matter where you come from, you can make it with hard work & determination. Look out 4 BOODANG In 2000 BOODANG released (BOODANG THEE ALBUM). "That album was my baby cause I worked on them songs Until I was able to actually put it out. I lived off that album for two years. 2002 BOODANG met Dirtty Ratt & Losko a.k.a. the HITMOB, GHOSTTOWN ENT. Soon after they began recording a series of songs which were later collectively called The X-perience. Though this album was not officially released, BOODANG begin working on his next project "ORIGINAL M.C. along with 2 mixtapes accompanied by 2 DVD Documentaries. Affiliated with CROSSBOW records. BOODANG began a working relationship with cousin/Crossbow CEO.Citty Gee of the Mersonary Killaz. "Citty Gee is a smart mothaf..@ka wit this music biz. He taught me alot about networking these streets and being more visible. In 2004 BOODANG picked up a video camera & taught himself to SHOOT, DIRECT, & EDIT music videos (check out BOODANGs videos on his profile page). "Making videos have become just as important to me as making records." Holla at BOODANG 4 prices on videos. Never sleeping, always working are the words of a man on the come-up. Read more on Last.fm.
