The Charlie Darwins is a up and coming North Portland three piece band. With styles and influences in everything from 60's psychedelia and surf rock to alternative country, they create an innovative and yet familiar sound. Gerald Love, guitarist/vocalist and Duncan Ros, bassist/vocalist, two North Portland natives who have been playing in the scene for over ten years are joined with Nick Mentillo, drummer, fresh from the east coast. They formed in late February of 2012 and released their first self-produced independent album, "Leave the light on" later that year in September. They are currently playing shows in and around Portland, OR with talks of working on a five song E.P. soon.
