Hailing from Oakland, California and drawing from the diverse musical influences in the area, Five Stone's blend of hip hop, rock, and turntablism has been compared to other artists that push the boundaries of these musical genres - like P.O.D., Linkin Park, Flipsyde, and Fort Minor.
Five Stone's music reached a wider audience after being featured on Fuel.tv action sports television and Skorpio's Urban Innovative Breakdancing DVD series - and the Five Stone track "Get Up" continues to be heard during sporting events at the college and professional level.
The new track, "Make Noise", is a rock/turntablist mix that takes the crowd rousing vibe to another level. In a collaboration with DJ Cutso of The Fingerbangerz, Five Stone uses 'Jurassic Park thumping' beats and hard hitting, distorted guitars to get the people out of their seats.
