All Rise Lyrics

I went to church today
To try to find my way
The preacher was a shade of grey
His eyes glued to the book

I turned on the radio
To make my heart grow
All the sounds stuck together
All the waves were doa

Over again, over again
We never seem to learn

All rise for the wave of humanity trapped in insanity
All eyes on the wave of humanity trapped in insanity
Wouldn't you rather be in love?
All rise for the wave of humanity trapped in insanity

I saw a film and cried
Cos it exposed the lies
Never reached its prime
The message lost in time

Don't know what to believe
Versus what I perceive
⁃ The truth is in front of my eyes

Over again over again
We never seem to learn

[Chorus]

[Solo]

It's over now it's over now
Love's become a rare kind
It's over now it's over now
Tradin' our souls for a piece of gold
It's over now it's over now
We never seem to learn

Wouldn't you rather be in love?
All rise for the wave of humanity wrapped in insanity

A native Texan, Jackie Venson intimately portrays her love for the Blues through thoughtful lyrics, screamin' guitar solos and an unforgettable voice.

Jackie Venson is a singer, songwriter, and musician from Austin, Texas.

Her unique voice is certain to appeal to music fans of all ages. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Jackie studied composition and studio production. She has accumulated more than 13 years of piano experience, 6 years of singing, 7 years of songwriting, and 2 years of intensive guitar study.

"When I began writing the Rollin' On compilation I was buried in stress over the fact that I had decided to essentially start over playing a new instrument, the Guitar. Originally a piano player, I had grown tired of the instrument and wanted to explore writing a new kind of song. After months of jamming with my friends and exploring new styles of music, my first original on guitar, "Oh Na Na", hit me like a ton of bricks. The flood gates were opened and the rest of the album practically came over night.

Writing my own stuff on guitar has been the most exciting experience to date since I learned my first classical song on piano as a young kid. Writing this album breathed new life into me and I hope it does the same for anyone who listens."
