Calah Mikal is a Nashville based singer-songwriter who sings and writes in a myriad of genres. Originally from New Orleans, she made her way to Nashville in 2012 to attend university and then called it home after graduating. 
 With whimsical melodies, her songs span from ambient worship to indie-alternative pop. 


The past few years she has been writing and discerning what role music will play in her life as she has written for other artists in the indie pop, singer songwriter and worship genres while also processing changes and loss in her personal life. 
After three years of keeping her writing to herself, she finally released songs An Ocean and Details that stemmed from what she calls her bedroom altar, the place where she dug deep in honesty to heal from unexpected heartache and grace that met her in 2018. 


Her music has been described as honest resilience and hopeful melancholy in sonic form, which accurately depicts the role songwriting plays in her life. It is the means by which she can process without a filter, welcome her humanness, and prophecy light. Her intention is that her personal healing and understanding of self will be multiplied to other through her music.
