Fast Cakes is the name used by Teesside (UK) musician John Hodgson for his recent solo projects. His main songwriting influences are Elton John (1970-75 period) and Brian Eno. His has released three albums, LIVEYOUNGDIEFAST was released in September 2007, Call Off The Dogs (2012), and Lifestory (2014). John has been writing music since 1966, and his bands include Blitzkrieg Bop, Basczax, Makaton Chat, Purity, Adamanta Chubb, Erection, The Gyneacologists, The Skydaddies, Red Sky and Viva La Diva.
He currently runs Imperial Digital Studios, and a record label (Opportunes), and oversees a number of Blitzkrieg Bop re-issues, including "Live '77 & Beyond" (2013), "Studio Stuff" (2014) and "The Usual Suspects" (2014) Read more on Last.fm.
