Elfheim is a folk/pagan metal band from Plovdiv (previously from Svishtov), Bulgaria. After all band members of the previous metal act, System, parted ways and dispersed throughout the country, a decision was made to put the project on hold, until all members reunite on the same stage one day. Meanwhile, Alexandar Pletnyov (bass) and Ivan Zlatanov (keyboards, guitar) set the foundation of a new band, with a defined concept, later inviting Lyubomir Stoyanov to contribute with vocals. In this line-up, the trio pays homage to the pagan heritage, its music being inspired by the Nordic history and mythology, the clash between the beliefs of old and the Christian invasion, as well as everything that is both dark and cold.
