Deep within the confines of a small town in Oregon starts hotboxed. Originated in 1998 hotboxed has had the same lineup until adding a second guitarist in 2003. Outcasts from the start the band had something right from the very beginning. In the small room that we shared hotboxed began pouring out the frustrations of life, in a confined space you have no choice but to breathe it in and try not to choke on it. None of us had been immune to the feeling of being buried alive in the environment we lived in and many of these feelings are still very much apart of the motivation for hotboxed songs. After many shows in their hometown hotboxed moved up to Portland Oregon, where the band currently resides. The first demo released simply titled “hotboxed” is a raw example of how hotboxed breathes in emotion and translates it into sound. With songs like "defiance" that is an anthem for anyone that is sick of being told what to do. And "whose blood", a song that vividly describes what it can feel like to be pushed over the edge. In 2003 hotboxed won a contest to play at KUFO’s prestigious rockfest festival, played in front of thousands and shared the bill with the likes of Korn and Chevelle. hotboxed is currently creating their new arrival. The fan base grows with every show, and blood and tears continue to fall on the floor that we spill our very life on.
