There is more than one band with the name The Reaction, including several British beat bands of the mid-1960s that often get mixed up.

1. A British beat band from Truro, Cornwall, which had future Queen drummer Roger Taylor in its line-up. The band recorded several songs in 1966.

2. An English punk band that included Mark Hollis, who later formed Talk Talk. They appeared on the compilation Streets (1977) and released one single ("I Can't Resist", 1978) on Island records.

3. A British beat band from Eckington near Chesterfield that was initially called The Gear and was fronted by Keith Riley. By 1966 this band was going by the name The Reaction. They recorded a single ('Advertising Man', 1966) that remained unreleased by EMI at the time, but later surfaced on sixties beat compilations.

4. A heavy metal/punk band from the United States.

5. A heavy rock band from Chile.
