This project is quite interesting because it showcases another side to these artists’ talents. Taking inspiration from it’s urban LA name sake, you can hear COMPTON’s musical influences from The Crusaders, Shuggie Otis, Isaac Hayes, Leroy Hutson, War, Marvin Gaye and of course James Brown.
