Tell Your Friends might sound like a demand, but in reality it's the name of a Chicago band composed of four outstanding young lads: Dan, Brad, Mike and Matt.

The four friends, always heavily involved in music throughout their lives, came together as a group in the winter of 2005. All of them being focused on real-world responsibilities right out of college- i.e. getting and maintaining a job, paying bills, hitting up the local Chicago scene (ok, not all were "responsibilities" per se) - none were ready to commit wholeheartedly to a full-time band and thus aptly named their group: Side Project on the Main Stage.

After a couple years of half-ass performing, jamming and writing a few pretty cool tunes, they a hit a point where they could do one of two things: 1) move forward with the band or 2) regret not doing so while day-dreaming at their offices. As none were ready to hang up their instruments just yet in the Spring of 2007, they renamed their band Tell Your Friends and began playing more shows, refining their sound and thinking about recording.

They recently recorded and self-released their first EP, "Live Around Here Often?" Everyone seems to have a different description of their music, so it's best you decide for yourself. The new EP includes fan-favorite "Dance if You're With Us" along with three other upbeat and quirky tunes with subliminal stories all can relate to.

These days, the band can be found playing local venues all over Chicago or rehearsing in their Lakeview-basement practice space.
