Skallander consist of Matthew Mitchell and Bevan Smith. They met when 11 in New Plymouth, New Zealand at a cricket match. Seven years later they formed a flat jam band together. Three years after that they played in minimal techno duo called 'oblique' and played at many seminal techno and rave parties in Wellington. In 2001 in London they met up again and started recording 'indie electronica'. These days they make whatever music they want. Their previous albums are 'The Camels' on Loop/Involve records New Zealand and "Skallander" released in August on type and well as (2) which will be released in 2008 on Loop in New Zealand.
