In The Beginning:

Timothy "J'See" Chiwena-Makun of a Nigerian descent, was born 2nd November, 1994 in the borough of Newham; developed an interest for storytelling and was aspired to be a poet. Before J'see decovered hip-hop. At the age 8, J'see's older cousin Rough Kumbaboy introduced him to hip-hop which inspired him to become a rapper as he was introduced to various artists and the themes of music.
J'see is mostly known for his outrageous, powerful, smooth repetative flow within his lyrical content, which he expresses through is music. J'see began listening to Hip-Hop/Grime Music when he was about 8 years old. Growing up as a child J'see listened to the likes of the late great Notorious B.I.G, Tupac Shakur, Nas and Eminem artists which are his influences today, and these are the reasons why he's writes his music.

At the age of 12 years, J'see was posting his own music on various internet social websites, such as: myspace, facebook, youtube etc..
Age 14, J'see brought him a M-Audio Keystation 49-e, which helped him progress in producing his own beats so he could be able to record his own music with his own beats, 'instrumentals'.
Age 15, he released his first unofficial mixtape called Nigerian Swaggers Vol.1. The mixtape received a lot of positive feedback from critics and friends.

Influences and rapping style:

J'see has named serveral people including Philosphers, MC's, writers, poets, actors, directors and activists as his influences. This includes: Martin Luther King, Malcom X, Michael Jackson, The Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, Nas, Bob Marley, Ronald Dahl, John Carpenter, Barry White, Sam Sparrow & R-Kelly . Comparing to other UK artist's, J'see's rapping style and techniuqes are different as, J'see has the ablity to use: a various range of complex rhyme schemes, use of connectives, a continuous rapid flow, Multisyllabic rhyming patterns, complex rhythms and melody. J'see is also known to use a range of methaphors using complex words to describe his own perspective and his emotion on different subjects. J'see's music reflects on topics such as violence, dark humour and family related and unrelated topics. J'see is really good at writing music which not only relates to him, but also relates to others, which gives him an instant connection with his audience which gets him the recognition he needs.

J'see explains "I was 9 years old, and I came across the song Respect on the Ready to Die album by Notorious B.I.G in which he gained his own perspective of the concept of the song which in inspired to tell stories through writing.
As J'see elaborates "story telling is not just for entertainment, it tells you the ways of why things happen at the end regardless, all stories have a moral."
