Duong Hoang Yen was born and raised in Hanoi. Her family has no one in the arts, but with her gift, the family has enabled her to participate in activities at the Children's Cultural Palace and then to the arts centers as soon as 4-5 year old.

Duong Hoang Yen's name has been known to the public since the Sao Mai Diem 2008 contest with a promising prize, when she was only 17 years old.
In 2009, Hoang Yen passed the entrance exam into the vocal department of Hanoi College of Arts.

In 2010, Yen was invited to participate in the World Children's Program in Sweden. Yen was invited to Sweden twice and 3 times invited by the Vietnamese community in Korea to participate in art exchange programs. She has now graduated from Hanoi College of Arts and Culture with the highest score and is retained as a vocal lecturer at the school. Beautiful face, charming smile and fiery voice, Hoang Yen the youngest singer Sao mai rendezvous in 2008 has left many impressions on the audience and the arts council.

Also in 2013, she sang the song Let It Go by the character Elsa in the Frozen Queen and received many positive feedback.

In 2015, she and Uyen Linh , Van Mai Huong participate in concert In The Spotlight of the diva won Gramy Peabo Bryson [2] , held in Hanoi and has a duet with him for the song A Whole New World well language. Immediately after the show, she received an invitation to collaborate [3] by the music producer for Peabo Bryson - Dwight Watkins .

In 2016, she made her debut music album, in collaboration with young musician Khac Hung , with the first single "The Watcher", composed by Mew Amazing.

2017 was a year Duong Hoang Yen made many strides in her career. May 5/2017, she was honored to follow seniors, seniors are invited to join the Asia Song Festival ( Asia Song Festival ), held in Seoul, Korea. In October 2017, Duong Hoang Yen was one of three judges of Vietnam's Talent Tour - The 2017 talent search journey organized by YourTV. In November 2017, she participated in the first Vietnamese version of Celebrity Battle on VTV3, teamed with musician Duong Cam and won the runner-up.
