The name Blu Simon may seem like another step on the color chart after the White Stripes and the Black Keys, but this voracious Rock n Roll power trio is anything but a carbon copy. They have managed to reach back into the primordial soup of the early days of Rock N Roll and Blues to bring you a new color to your Rock n Roll spectrum.

Initially formed in 2008, brothers Aaron and Ben Shoemaker comprised the early core of the group. The audacious guitar and vocal combo of Aaron Shoemaker and the detonating drumming style of Ben Shoemaker was complemented by the entwhistle like bass guitar skills of Garrison Garza. After an early exit of a second guitarist they searched for another member, but soon found the freedom that comes with being a power trio. Looking for inspiration from bands like Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix they began to craft an explosive Rock N Roll sound.

In 2009 they began their collaboration with producer Rick Carson in what was to become Make Believe Studios. Their debut album The American Dream, recorded in a old house in Omaha, Nebraska, quickly sold out of a limited run of 1000 copies. The album was a throwback to the Rock N Roll of the late 60s and early 70s with a contemporary twist.

Shortly after the release of The American Dream the band and Saxophone player and hype man Matty T and hit the road around the Midwest. By playing thunderous four hour shows twice a week in over 6 states the band has developed one of the most energetic and entertaining stage shows around. In 2012 their sound evolved once more with the release of Blu Simon Incorporated, a satirical look at the music industry.
