Drawn and Quartered is a death metal band from Seattle. Their sound is heavily inspired by such death metal bands as Morbid Angel, Obituary, Immolation, Nile, and Suffocation. Originally formed in 1992 as Plague Bearer. After several lineup changes, they changed their name to Drawn and Quartered in 1996, when they recorded a self-titled demo. Signing with Moribund Records, D&Q released their debut full-length album, To Kill is Human, in 1999. At first the album was self-released, but they were soon signed to Moribund Records, who then increased the publicity of the album and band. A self-released EP, Crusaders of Blasphemy, followed in 2002. 2003 saw the release of their second full-length on Moribund, Extermination Revelry. In 2004, Crusaders of Blasphemy was re-released with bonus tracks on Ancient Spirit Terror, and the band also released their third full-length, The Return of the Black Death.
