Country Jack is a legendary music group from Indonesia (Sukabumi, Jawa Barat) consisting of Bia Subagja, Emier Abay, Eddy Manalief, and Benino. Their well-known debut album was titled Stasiun Tua (Old Station). The band began developing its signature sound, characterized by heartfelt ballads and a touch of Country Rock. The band’s name was coined with the contribution of Kang Denny Sabri—initially proposed as “Country” by C. Noeris, with Denny Sabri later adding “Jack” to complete it.

The lineup featured Bia Subagja on vocals, guitar, and harmonica; Eddy Manalief; and Yan Voyagers on lead guitar. Additional musicians included Harry Anggoman on keyboards and Herry Uban or Tommy from the group “Brother Hood” on drums.

Country Jack’s debut album, Stasiun Tua, was released under a music label and selected as the theme song for a feature film. Their second album was titled Surat dari Ibu Kota (Letter from the Capital). In 1982, C. Noeris reunited with the late Farid Hardja to form the Non Block Band. Country Jack was then carried on by Eddy Manalief, Benino, and Emier Abay, and they went on to release two more studio albums. Read more on Last.fm.
