Suzzi was born in Potchefstroom in 1984,
from a young age it was obvious she was a
strong-minded little girl. In 1988 they moved
to Kempton Park where she took part in every
educational occasion possible, revues, choirs, hockey & eisteddfods’. In 2002 Suzzi Matriculated and went to study Jazz singing at TUT, in 2004 she decided to change her path slightly to the Musical Theatre Course at TUT, were she received her diploma in 2006. Pieter Toerien’s Production of Hair took up most of 2007, where she had a taste of life in Cape Town. In 2008 she returned to Jozi eager to transform herself, she took the music that she had written through the years and decided to start the band “Suzzi & the Swanz”. 2009 brought about Idols 5 where she took 12th place amongst the top performers in South Africa.
Life after Idols has been bliss and has brought about all sorts of opportunities. Working closely with Heidi Edeling in 2010 on Spotlight & Party Police & then playing The Poodle in Deon Opperman’s Jock of the Bushveld. Broadening her horizons in 2011 she set sail on the Costa Deliziosa as Production Singer and entertained people from all over the world. Suzzi is delighted to be back home in Jozi & excited to once again be apart of the South African Performing Industry. She is also the star of the 2013 afrikaans series, sterlopers, and heating up the music scene with her debut single "ek probeer"
