There are two entities using this name.

1) This Machine Kills from Goleta, California play hardcore in the vein of Born Against, Bread and Circuits and Tragedy. They have released records with Ebullition, Coalition and others.
Their sound is a mixture of classic early '90s hardcore influences such as Merel and Iconoclast combined with a more modern screaming vocal assault (meaning frantic & bratty). Their lyrics are extremely political.
