James Avatar, singer/songwriter and creative director of Chronic Electronic Orchestra is a native New York digital media artist now living in New Orleans. He is dedicated to tutoring and mentorship in art and new media disciplines, and has served in this capacity as an Artist-in-Residence at a number of universities.

His commitment to the aesthetic evolution of contemporary music and film is evidenced by his authorship of thousands of underground audio recordings, and multimedia events, independently and in collaboration with other artists, studios and music acts.

James took a break from producing artists after the untimely death of Albanian superstar ANITA BITRI, during the development of her American debut CD in 2004. He went underground and began developing CEO's debut CD "Songs Of Change", a retrospective audio anthology of material from Avatar's extensive archive of edgy, socially conscience Funk, Hip hop and R&B songs.
