It is not always a question of time, in life as in everything else, in music or in the head. Hard to perceive, impossible to control, it always seems to freeze or slip through our fingers, and it sometimes appears that the best approach is to desperately try escaping it. Time is an illusion, and the members of Perilymph understand this very well. The years spent together, spreading the waves of their ever-changing instruments through the air, today seem like nothing more than a few minutes. If everything happens inside the head, then resonates in the body, Perilymph has strived since the creation of its first sounds to confuse, charm and transport the heads and bodies of those who are exposed to it. Listening to those, all temporality loses its relevance, memories are distant but the images are vivid, the sounds multiply and the concepts disappear. Neither frozen nor slipping, time finally presents itself as a friend, and serves as a humble support for the progressive offerings of these musicians. Led by composer and multi-instrumentalist Fabien de Menou, the group offers some of these time installations, which range from dark haunted compositions, to futuristic psychedelic ensembles, through evocative ballads or striking grooves, or sometimes all at once.
