BOY Lyrics

These girls tryna lock me down and I always up and leave
Before the first time in a while
I wanna throw away the key
(And I know)
You've been in a couple more relationships than me
Cause you talk a different talk
And you kiss me differently

Now I don't know where to go
After you love me this way
After you love me so good
How are you gonna tell me you don't wanna stay

You tell me I'm too young boy
I gave you what you wanted
Baby, how do you treat me just like
Like a boy
You will wake up beside me
Cause I was born in the nineties
Baby, how do you treat me just like
Like a boy
(Don't you treat me like)
Boy
(Don't you treat me like)
Woooh
Woooh

(You told me)
You needed a perfect guy that will make your parents proud
'Cause you still haven't found him yet
(Why?)
'Cause we still messin' around (uh)
(And now you)
Watch me puttin' all this work just to say it won't work out
You never took this seriously
Now what the hell is that about?

Now I don't know where to go
(After you love me this)
After you love me this way
(After you love me so)
After you love me so good
(How are you gonna)
Tell me you don't wanna stay

You tell me I'm too young boy (young boy)
I gave you what you wanted (wanted)
Baby, how do you treat me just like
Like a boy
You will wake up beside me (beside me)
Cause I was born in the nineties (in the nineties)
Baby, how do you treat me just like (just like)
Like a boy
(Don't you treat me like)
Boy
(Don't you treat me like)
Woooh
Woooh
(Baby, don't you treat me like a boy)
Boy
(Don't you treat me like)
Boy
(Don't you treat me like)
Woooh
Woooh

You tell me I'm too young boy (young boy)
I gave you what you wanted (what you wanted)
Baby, how do you treat me just like
Like a boy
You will wake up beside me (beside me)
Cause I was born in the nineties (in the nineties)
Baby, how do you treat me just like
Like a boy
(Don't you treat me like)
Boy
(Don't you treat me like)
Woooh
Woooh
(Baby, don't you treat me like a boy)
Boy
(Don't you treat me like)
Boy
(Don't you treat me like)
Woooh
Woooh

Just like, like a boy
Just like, like a boy

Charlie Puth (born Charles Otto Puth, Jr., December 2, 1991 in Rumson, New Jersey, United States) is a American pop singer from New Jersey who gained his fame through YouTube. He is best known for his 2015 debut single "Marvin Gaye", which features vocals from Meghan Trainor. He is also known for singing on Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" taken from the "Furious 7" soundtrack. The single became a huge international success, reaching number one in Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Switzerland and the United States as well as the top ten in Ireland and France.

Charlie joined YouTube in September of 2009 and began to post his own acoustic covers. He is also an alumnus of the Berklee College of Music, which he graduated in 2013. In October 2011, Ellen DeGeneres announced that she had signed Charlie Puth and Emily Luther to her label after seeing their cover of Adele's "Someone Like You". Puth and Luther performed the song on the show. On January 25, 2012, they came back to The Ellen DeGeneres Show and performed Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" and an original written by Puth titled "Break Again" (co-written with Robert Gillies). Charlie has since left eleveneleven and signed with Atlantic Records.

In February 2015 he released his debut single "Marvin Gaye"; the song features vocals from Meghan Trainor. He features on Wiz Khalifa's song "See You Again", which features on the Furious 7 soundtrack which went to number one on the Hot 100 making his first entry and first top 10 on the Hot 100. He co-wrote the song "Slow Motion" for Trey Songz and has arranged sessions with Jason Derulo and Lil Wayne. In an interview with Billboard, Puth explains the vibe he wanted for his upcoming EP. "I listened to a lot of Marvin Gaye and Motown records. When I was making my record, I just wanted to make this soulful sound. When Marvin Gaye made his music, he evoked this feeling that would reach everybody. Now, my record is also actually a musical assistance record".

In April 2015 he released "I Won't Tell a Soul", the second single from his upcoming EP, "Some Type of Love" released on May 1, 2015. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
