KayJez is the combined musical talents of Hawaiian singer songwriter Jess Penner and Arizona natve Kate Booye, the band name being a culmination of the two members' names.

Penner describes the band herself as a side project, although when you listen to KayJez's debut album, self titled, your ears are met with something rather special that really shouldn't be described as such. The album is an uplifting summer-pop classic with hooks that wouldn't be out of place anywhere, There are sing-a-longs a-plenty.
