The emergence of Queens English from the dark corners of the UK underground signifies a renaissance for DIY Hip Hop.
Formed by MC's Sherlock, Leon Rhymes and Mr Chips, whilst at Leeds University in 2004, the student veterans of 'Cowboy Tactics' were soon joined by the vocalist Source and under the watchful gaze of Hip Hop stalwart DJ's Fly Si,Swoosh, Biscuits and Ill Phil, QE matured their sound during intense writing sessions and even more intense party missions. http://www.myspace.com/queensenglish
A chance meeting with Drum and Bass Legend DJ Skinny/Nu Balance, who was based in Shoreditch's famous Strong Room studios, led to the recording of QE's debut album 'EQ' and the creation of their very own label 'Skip Records'.
QE have grown in stature and experience adding a successful tour of Sweden and insane shows at Cargo and The Faversham to their credits. QE have recently completed their second studio album as the 'EQ' PR train gathers speed, so watch out for collabs with Embee from Looptroop, an appearance at Outlook Festival (Croatia) and the official album launch party in November at Vibe Bar, Brick Lane.
