Rocky Marsiano is the instrumental side-project of the Portuguese old school producer/MC/DJ D-Mars. With a strong jazz influence, "The Pyramid Sessions" represents a fresh and unique view on urban music. With the release of the 2nd album (Outside the Pyramid), D-Mars further explores the musical sides of jazz fusion by adding elements of soul/funk and Brazilian music (his mother was raised in Rio).

As a live performance, Rocky Marsiano is a quartet and uses improvisation as the main vehicle. No show is the same as the one before it... Rocky Marsiano has performed at most of venues all over Portugal, (p.e., Lux Frágil, Gulbenkian, Lisbon Casino) and was selected by Gilles Peterson as part of his night at Casa da Música.

Top Portuguese jazz musicians André Fernandes (guitar) and Rodrigo Amado (sax) and the turnatable wizard DJ Ride make sure the formula remains intact.
