Formed in the Fall of 2010 and musically inspired by live electronic music, Beautiful Machines has started a scene of its own in the San Francisco Bay Area. The band's music and lyrics have a dark undercurrent and eeriness in the sound, which melds beautifully against a euphoric upbeat rhythm. The band takes on a modern futurist aesthetic, fused with its admiration for technology and the individual creative mind. Utilizing visuals and interactive elements, Beautiful Machines produces a show that casts a wide appeal for fans of electro-synth-pop-rock. Each show is unique and features lights, lasers, visuals, costumes, interactive elements and audience participation.

The band represents a true cosmopolitan mix. Drawing on inspirations from electronic music, film, art and media, Conrad Schuman is a composer, vocalist-guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer who writes songs that are philosophically-charged with depth against pulsing danceable music. Hailing from Finland and having toured in Europe prior to being a founding member or the band, Veli-Matti Matilla is one of electronic rock's most versatile and creative drummers. Taiwan-born and world-traveled Stefanie "Cosmic Cupcake" Ku is a synth master, always challenging the frontiers of sound.
