Be Alright Lyrics

Ah ah ah
Ooh ooh ah ah ah

Oh, baby, please don't ever leave me
Just stick with me, mama, put your hand in mine
We can be together through love and shelter
Our very last dime or last meal or last sip of wine

Ooh ooh ooh, yes, we can
Come on, baby
(Put your hand in mine)
We share a good thing together
Come on, baby
(Put your hand in mine, girl)

Together we can make this journey
Together we can make this journey

Alright
It's gonna be alright
Alright
It's gonna be alright

Alright
It's gonna be alright
Alright
It's gonna be alright

Alright

Shucks, oh, my mama, don't you talk about me
No, no, no, don't you head for that door
This little thing we got is gonna work our fine, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Work out fine, work out fine, it's gonna work out fine

Doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo

Alright
It's gonna be alright
Alright
It's gonna be alright

Alright
It's gonna be alright
Alright

Roger Troutman (b. 29 Nov 1951, d. 25 Apr 1999), was the lead singer of the band Zapp who helped spearhead the Funk movement and heavily influenced West Coast hip hop due to the scene's heavy sampling of his music over the years. Troutman was well known for his use of the talkbox, a device that is connected to an instrument (frequently a keyboard) to create different vocal effects. Roger used a custom-made talkbox--the Electro Harmonix "Golden Throat," as well as a Yamaha DX100 FM synthesizer. As both lead singer of Zapp and in his subsequent solo releases, he scored a bevy of funk and R&B hits throughout the 1980s. In his later years, he was mostly known for singing the chorus to the hip-hop classic, "California Love".
