Be a Man Lyrics

The sun dawn light
And I hear it sayin'
That our day is done
And this love is breaking.

We both know you wanna go
Your heart's already gone
It's gonna hurt but you make it worse
when you keep hangin' on.

Just be a man about it
Don't try to depth surround it
Just have the decent say to say to me
That you got other plans
Say you can love without me,
go on forget about me
Walk out that door boy if you think you can
Just be a man.
Just be a man about it.

Why do people change?
Why do hearts break open?
And the truth we know
Have to go unspoken.

Look me in the eye and make me cry a thousand tears
Let me hear it straight from you then you can disappear

And just be a man about it
Don't try to depth surround it
Just have the decent say to say to me
That you got other plans
Say you can love without me,
go on forget about me
Walk out that door boy if you think you can
Just be a man.
Just be a man about it.

Oh goodbye, good luck,
With your new life, your new love
Get it over with, can take no more of this
Why can't you just be strong and just be a man about it
Don't try to depth surround it
Just have the decent say to say to me
That you got other plans
Say you can love without me,
go on forget about me
Walk out that door boy if you think you can
Just be a man.
Just be a man about it.

Just be a man

Megan Hilty attended Sammamish High School in Bellevue and the Washington Academy of Performing Arts Conservatory High School in Redmond, Washington. In 2004, she graduated from the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama and is a member of Actors' Equity. She is a recipient of the National Society of Arts and Letters Award for Excellence in Musical Theater. Her regional credits include productions of Café Puttanesca, Suds, and The Wild Party.

Shortly before graduating from Carnegie Mellon, Hilty auditioned for the part of Glinda in the hit musical, Wicked. After graduating, she moved to New York City, and in mid-2004, she made her Broadway debut in the show. She originally served as the standby for Jennifer Laura Thompson before taking over the principal role on May 31, 2005. She played Glinda for a year, ending her run on May 28, 2006, having been replaced by Kate Reinders, the original Glinda in the Chicago production of Wicked.

Hilty recently starred in a musical called Vanities at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts in Mountain View with TheatreWorks. She reprised her role as Glinda in the national tour of Wicked from September to December 2006, for a 4-month stint in the Portland, Oregon and Seattle stops, as well as the Toronto stop alongside former Broadway co-star Shoshana Bean. She is currently playing Glinda again alongside former co-star, Eden Espinosa, in the open-ended Los Angeles production of Wicked. Her contract is active until November 2007.

In January 2007, it was announced that Hilty was cast in the role of Doralee Rhodes in the reading for a musical based on the 1980s workplace comedy 9 to 5. Official casting for the show has not been announced. [1]

Megan guest starred on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody as Enid on August 5, 2007. She also did the singing voice of Snow White in Shrek the Third.

Megan Hilty has a very large vocal range, and may be considered a whistle register singer, as she hits a high E in "No One Mourns the Wicked", and the optional F6 in "Thank Goodness" during her performances of Wicked.
