The Guard was a pop punk band from Ypsilanti, MI consisting of Dennis Berger – Rhythm Guitar and Vocals, Jason Considine – Lead Guitar, Chris Wilbur - Drums and Ryan Wojcik-Andrews - Bass. They rocked through the year of 2010 playing around the Ypsi/Arbor, southern and eastern parts of Michigan. They have played with international bands Victori4 from France and Kiros from Canada. In the summer of 2010 The Guard recorded Deep Thoughts with, The Guard at their practice studio in downtown Ypsilanti, MI. In October The Guard went back to the studio but with Brian Thomas recording the sessions. The Guard released For Sure in November. In December however The Guard went their separate ways with Dennis Berger and Jason Considine working on their own music project The Marietta, whom just released their first ep in the summer of 2011.
The Guard was a part of the Rushour Scenes label which was started by Jason Considine in 2004. In 2010 She’s a Werewolf 2! was featured on the Rushour Scenes online compilation; American Masters: Rushour Scenes - A Decade in Perspective 2000 - 2010 Available on Lastfm.com.
