1) American organist Richard Morris (May 30, 1942 - September 12, 2013) began his performing career at the age of 12 as a soloist with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra, in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was born. He was a scholarship student with Nadia Boulanger and Robert and Jean Casadesus, and a Fulbright Scholar at the Academy for Music in Vienna. He appeared as a soloist in Carnegie Hall, Town Hall and Alice Tully Hall. He was one-half of the organ-trumpet duo Toccatas and Flourishes with Martin Berinbaum.
