Lubiana (full name Lubiana Kepaou), born on December 12, 1993 in Belgium, is a Belgian-Cameroonian performer.

Career
Born to a Cameroonian father and a Belgian mother Lubiana comes from a family of musicians. From the age of 8, she began studying piano, guitar, saxophone and music theory.

She enrolled at the conservatory in Louvain, majoring in singing. She did not follow her mother's classical path and turned to jazz.

Lubiana launched her musical career to the general public at the age of 17, by participating in The Voice Belgique.

In 2018, she opened for Senegalese artist Youssou N'Dour's European tour, notably in Brussels.

On September 23, 2023, she opened for Zazie at Forest National.

Musical genre
After two first singles called Self Love and My Man Is Gone, she released her very first EP on April 24, 2020, which combines pop sounds with African sounds.

On a radio program on Europe 1 with journalist Bernard Poirette, Lubiana presented her passion for the kora, a stringed musical instrument traditionally used throughout West Africa. Initiated following an apprenticeship of this African harp played mainly by men, she is one of the few women to practice it.
