HAN-KUN is a dancehall reggae deejay who expresses himself with just one microphone. There are various types within this genre, but he strives to perfect a unique style characterized by both hardcore exchanges and the ability to sing catchy choruses.

His consciousness as a deejay is high, and it is well known among those familiar with the scene that he excels in the freestyle style unique to dancehall known as RUB-A-DUB.

His encounter with reggae occurred in high school when he heard BUJU BANTON's "UNTOLD STORIES" on a homemade mixtape played by a friend's girlfriend. He was shocked by the existence of the dancehall genre, and it led him to explore works by Jamaican artists like BUJU, BEENIE MAN, and BOUNTY KILLER, as well as the rapidly evolving Japanese reggae scene at that time. He often shares stories about the influence of the local scene in Kanagawa and the hottest reggae town, Osaka.

In 1998, he experienced his first stage performance at a local sound event (though he humorously noted that there were only about 5 or 6 people in the audience). Around the same time, he participated in a dub mixtape collection featuring newcomers, where he also met RED RICE. He deepened his connections with local figures, including members of 湘南乃風 (Shonan no Kaze) and MURDERONE, and in 2002, following the completion of Shonan no Kaze's second mixtape, the group went on a nationwide tour in a one-box vehicle.

As many know, he debuted as part of Shonan no Kaze in 2003, making connections with other regions and traveling back and forth to Jamaica during this period.

After his debut, he went through several significant turning points as a solo act (which is worth exploring as he has released many noteworthy works). Since 2006, he has actively toured the country on his own.

From local dances in small clubs to outdoor big festivals and after-parties featuring RUB-A-DUB performances, he has recently been credited with solo stages. While he has featured in collaborations and compilations with other artists during this time, he had yet to release original solo works.

In 2008, his first solo album was released, a highly anticipated release. However, no further explanation is necessary at this point. He understands the weight of expectation and responsibility he carries while singing and expressing himself today. He possesses the power to transform the doubts and conflicts he has felt into hope, fueled by the ragga spirit and skills he has developed over the years.

That is why he names himself and is now known by everyone as "Voice Magician, Step Up!"
