Forget about a snow-white
Wedding gown
And you can toss black roses
In a hole in the ground

Roses are red, roses are black
Tell your mother what you did
And give her a heart attack

Someday when I'm cold and dead
You're gonna find black roses
By your hospital bedLyrics provided by TANCODEhttp://lyricsever.com/" readonly=""/>

Black Roses Lyrics

So you were late
But you never told me you were
You didn't want to say
Till you were sure
But that song and dance
Won't work no more
Because you got no rhythm
To save your soul

I don't care how much it hurts
So you can tell it
To the Roman Catholic Church
I don't run away
From my mistakes
But this is one, honey,
That I didn't make

And I can't catch you
And I can't get you
But I can't let you catch me

Oh no, you can't catch me
And you never will
So you can plant black roses
In your window sill
I'll be free
And you'll be suicidal
While you press black roses
In your family Bible

So now it's all
Left up to your discretion
And you can spill your guts
In your next confession
Lift your eyes up to the sky
Give 'em ten Hail Marys
For one white lie

Your mother always said
I would bring you down
If she could only see you now
Clinging tight to your rosary
Saying, "This wasn't how
It was supposed to be . . ."

Forget about a snow-white
Wedding gown
And you can toss black roses
In a hole in the ground

Roses are red, roses are black
Tell your mother what you did
And give her a heart attack

Someday when I'm cold and dead
You're gonna find black roses
By your hospital bed

There are two bands using the name Sloppy Seconds.

1. Sloppy Seconds are a Punk Rock band from Indianapolis. Their story began in 1985 at a weekend-long house party when singer B.A., bassist Bo'ba Jam, drummer Steve Sloppy, and guitarist Danny Roadkill (later replaced by Ace Hardwhere) set down their beers long enough to massacre a few cover tunes and wake up their neighbors.

After a short spell honing their original material and live intensity, the Sloppys released the debut album "Destroyed" in 1990. With each new release they have carved out a niche that targets themes close to their hearts: porn stars, parties, junk food, TV re-runs, beer blasts, comic books, strippers, B-Movies, 70's nostalgia, 80's cynicism, and 90's complacency.

2. Sloppy Seconds are a pair of non-dimensional time rabbits who strive to disolve notions of time and space through a 'sonic smudge' of intense noise coupled with visceral performance rituals. Named 1.7 and 5.2, these two rabbits deal with ideas of serialisation, subjectivity, shamanism, and quantum ontology, with a focus on creating a conflict and resolution within individual audience members regarding everything they believe to be true. Individual appearences are always different in form, but this simple thread of destroying time and space is present in all of their performances. Actions to date have included the smashing of clocks, the folding of paper, the defacing of maps, etc. Their sound has been compared to the likes of Drums Not Dead-era Liars, Lightning Bolt, Boredoms etc.
Active primarily in London, UK, they released Spit or Swallow? on Colour Ride in late 2008 and have played with Talibam!, Clunes, Horse Vomit, BBBlood, Team Brick, Cementimental, Kong, Selfish Cunt and others.
