Miss Kosmix is the youngest dj of london based Malfaiteurs Soundsystem. At the age of just 23 she has now been playing around london and recently abroad for three years during which she has performed alongside some of the finest techno djs/producers such as Jeff Amadeus, Aaron Liberator, Chris Liberator, Julian Liberator, The Geezer, Rackitt, D.A.V.E. the Drummer, Gizelle, Pattrix, DJ K.N, Maxx, DJ Staw, Olivier FX, Jerome Hill, Zebedee, James Kinetic, Miss Daisy, Thermobee, Lusinda, Sterling Moss, Product 19, Dj Adrenalin, Syber Symon, Carl Hendricks, Dj Ogi...

She discovered the london techno sound at the infamous parties london hosts in its underground scene. She enjoyed the music so much she wanted to learn and see for herself what she could do with the music and thus started her journey behind the decks during the summer of 2005. A couple of months later she started playing out and has since been involved in the underground scene and various club nights for, among others, malfaiteurs soundsystem, stay up forever, and more.

At the beginning of 2007, she was offered to play a set for ‘nuclear free zone’, london’s longest running techno night, which has been going for 16 years at Club 414 in Brixton. It was not very long until she earned herself a monthly residency for nuclear free zone. It was very rewarding and extremely motivating to have support from such a longstanding event and its organisers.

2008 has so far seen her go abroad to Metaponto, Italy and to Tokyo, Japan where she had very enthusiastic responses to her music, which was, to say the least, encouraging. She is also heading out to Serbia before the end of the year and will be showcasing her talents in Ireland at the beginning of the new year.

Her style varies from minimal/electro to funky, driving, hard, pounding and acid techno, and has previously been labelled as “tough”, while she has been branded the ‘rising star’ of the london squat party scene.

Her motto is: ‘there are no problems only solutions, so keep on avin it!’ and this is precisely what she likes to do, to ‘ave it’ behind the decks as she tries to get the most out of her records to create a special atmosphere.

Apart from playing her records out Miss Kosmix has recently started working on production projects in the studio. As she learns to make her own music after having learnt to play around with other people’s she is impatient to be able to release a record of her own and share her work with the world. To date she has collaborations with unsung hero D.D.R. from the Stay Up forever Collective as well as Pattrix who manages Mutate to Survive (Henry Cullen’s recent label), with more exciting projects on the way.

Her dj sets have gained wide support from such djs as aaron liberator, d.a.v.e. the drummer, the geezer, gizelle, jerome hill, olivier fx, pattrix and many party-goers. If she is not playing in a club you can usually find her behind the decks at a party with malfaiteurs soundsystem.
