He was considered one of the best artists on the 'Bangin' On Wax' roster. In 1995, along with 'B-Brazy', 'G-Spider', 'Penut II', 'Redrum781', 'Pimp D', and 'Green Eyes' released 'Damu Ridas', 'Bloods For Life', 'Damu Ride' and 'True Flue Killa'. In 1998 'Lil Hawk' was convicted, and received a twenty-five to life prison sentence. While incarcerated he still made appearances on the second 'Damu Ridas' album "How Deep Is Your Hood?"
