Wiley Hand is a performer of experimental Folk music who has been called “the most enigmatic man in show business.” Although often referred to as the Prince of Generation X, very little is actually known about Hand. Aside from being a skilled recluse, he is further formidably elusive. During public appearances he is often disguised, and occasionally headlines under the pseudonyms, “Closed For Remodel,” and “Show Cancelled.” It is known that he lived in San Francisco, where he first began street performing using a bullhorn.
