The New Old-Fashioned is a Rock & Roll/Alternative Country band from Dayton, OH.

Recorded in Nashville with producer Patrick Himes (Ryan Adams, Gillian Welch, Shrug, Bonneville), The New Old-Fashioned's self-titled debut album pairs big vocal harmonies with songwriting that effectively paints a picture of life in the Midwestern United States. Led by vocalist and songwriter David Payne, the voices and instruments of Kent Montgomery (Guitar), Tom Blackbern (Bass) and Matt Oliver (Drums) are all very present in the band's sound: big, choral vocal harmonies reminiscent of the Beach Boys or The Beatles that sit comfortably atop a thick musical backdrop that plays like a rock & roll history lesson.

The New Old Fashioned has shared the stage with several up-and-coming acts from the Dayton area and beyond, including Andrew Combs, Water Liars, Motel Beds, Mayday Parade, Shrug, The Story Changes and JT Woodruff of Hawthorne Heights.
