Francisco Petrônio (born as Francisco Petrone - Nov 8, 1923 — Jan 19, 2007 - São Paulo) was a brazilian singer. He was very famous during the decade of 1960 with the song "Baile da Saudade" (something like "Ball of the Homesickness") and if it became a kind of king of the balls, function this that it possesss until his death. That song was a best-seller at the time, and the singer rewrote in rhythms and varied languages to it, with prominence for the version in Italian. Besides frequently participating of diverse programs of television and radio, Petrônio conquered some prizes throughout its career.
