1) Orkan, meaning Hurricane, is the whirlwind from Gothenburg, Sweden, that has electrified every stage they've stepped on. With their high-energy live shows and powerful lyrics, they leave no audience untouched. Over the past decade, Orkan has played nearly 200 shows across Sweden and Europe, sharing the stage with several prominent acts. Anyone familiar with Swedish progg knows Orkan is a name you don't miss.

Rock and politics collide in a psychedelic storm where classic riffs—reminiscent of 70sSwedish icons like November—meet raw, instrumental intensity and the disarming honesty of bands like Nationalteatern. Orkan always has something to say. Their lyrics, steeped in both anger and melancholy, confront the injustices of modern society.

Though their sound draws heavily from the rock of the 60s and 70s, Orkan is far from a nostalgia act. One foot is firmly rooted in the legacy of Swedish progg, while the other strides boldly into the present. After releasing a 7” single and their debut album Orkan through Alleycat Records, followed by the full-length Livsgaranti and an EP via Gamlestans Grammofonbolag, Orkan has now released their third full-length album on their own label, Blåsväder Records (Windy Weather Records).
