Hamsa (In Hebrew: חמסה) was an Israeli girl group formed in the early 2000s. The group became a sensation for their catchy pop songs infused with Middle Eastern and Mizrahi influences, creating a unique sound that appealed to diverse audiences. Their music blended modern Israeli pop with traditional motifs, earning them a prominent place in the Israeli music scene. Known not only for their music but also for their vibrant performances and stylish image, the group reflected the cultural melting pot of Israel. Despite their relatively short career, Hamsa left a lasting impression, and their songs remain beloved by fans of Israeli pop music.

Career
Hamsa began their journey with auditions for the 2001 Kdam Eurovision, where their song "Darbuka" earned third place. In 2003, they released their debut album, Hamsa, which sold over 15,000 copies in Israel. The single "Chayav Lamut Alay" topped the Reshet G chart for a week and secured a place in the network's annual top hits list. Other singles from the album, including "Rak Elohim" and "Shir HaHamsa," also achieved notable success.

The group disbanded in 2004, with its members pursuing diverse careers in music, entertainment, and other fields. In 2020, Hamsa reformed, introducing new music with their single "Inti Hayati," written by Moran David and Hadas Cohen.
