Danish/American/Indian Oscar Mukherjee’s songs deal with identity, devotion, and love in the multi-cultural 21st century. Born to Danish/Indian parents, he spent his formative years in Silicon Valley steeped in the nostalgic sounds of the Californian folk-rock boom. With his prodigious command of the American songwriter tradition in tow, Oscar Mukherjee relocated to Copenhagen in his early teens, where his talent quickly turned heads in the Danish music scene. The release of his first two EP’s garnered him a Danish Music Award nomination, national airplay (Danish Radio P4), and saw him perform at Folk Alliance International (New Orleans) and Americana Fest UK (London) with the Texas-based organization The House of Songs in 2020.
