SuperMayne's Biography

John Wesley Bailey was born September 1,1955 on the south side of Chicago, Illinois. As a child he always had an intense feeling about music. But due to economic strains on his family during his youth, he was unable to explore and develop his musical interest. However, in 1970 he was blessed with an opportunity to experience music in a new light. One of his sisters was a member of an all girl band. he hung around their practice sessions and was gravitated to the drums. One day he picked up the drum sticks and that was it, he was hooked. That was the beginning of his amatuer career. As a young teenager he taught himself to play. He got together with some other friends and they formed a Funk, R&B and Blues band called the "Mighty Forces". They became professionals doing some traveling and playing local venues. This went on until he could not afford to actively play anymore because of the responsibilities of having children. This turned out to be a career changing period in his life, but the passion for music never faded. To that end, he always felt that someday he would have a second opportunity to achieve that which has eluded him for so long. In May of 2007, he chanced upon a software music application (http://mixcraftlive.com/members/72/) which gave him the tools and inspiration to regain and move forward with his musical aspirations. It has been a challenging task to this point, but patience, diligence and divine spirit is paying off. He is using his desktop computer, a Casio LK-42 music keyboard and his ever reliable "Pearl" drum set to envision, compose and arrange his brand of music.

He wishes to share this music with the world. Whether his music thrills the masses or is just considered mediocre fan fair, he has truly re-discovered the joy and passion associated with creating music and how it can make a person feel.

He dedicates much of his free time to the music art form and creates his own original and unique music. No matter if this becomes profitable or otherwise, it is something that means the world to him and he will continue to strive for musical excellence.
