Inchaos is a metalcore band from Hangzhou, China, formed in 2015. The band's sound blends heavy metalcore riffs and harsh screams with melodic clean vocals, creating a dynamic mix of aggression and melody. Their music incorporates both English and Mandarin lyrics, reflecting their dual-language approach.
Their current lineup includes vocalists Tang Qian (clean vocals) and Lei Sheng (screaming vocals), guitarist Jackie, bassist Zhang Qing, and drummer Till Chan. Over the years, Inchaos has seen several lineup changes. Can Can, the band's original vocalist, left in 2017, while guitarist Gougou and clean vocalist Lin Zihan, along with former member Aiten, also departed the band to pursue their studies abroad. Jin Qi, their former screaming vocalist, stepped down from live performances due to him moving to South Africa in 2024, but continues to contribute to songwriting and management.
Inchaos released the song Mist in December 2019. A remixed and remastered version of their earlier track, Fading Away, was released on September 5, 2020, with the mastering done by Amaël Durand of Novelists. The band also released the EP A Reason To Be Found in December 2022, when they also released the single My Galaxy. These were followed by the single Dust In The Sea in July 2023.
On May 30, 2023, Inchaos introduced their new lineup, which included Tang Qian as the clean vocalist and Jackie as the new guitarist, with Lin Zihan and Aiten departing the band to continue their studies. The band continued to perform actively, with notable shows in Beijing, Shanghai, and other cities in early 2024, playing alongside bands like Leviathan, Lie To The Silence and An Empty City.
In July 2024, the band announced Lei Sheng as their new scream vocalist, debuting his role in the single Sparrow, which was released in August 2024. This song had originally been written in 2017, but its earlier version had not been officially released due to production quality concerns. The new version showcases the band's evolution in sound and production. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
